and in prime season typically has delivery fees unless a second charter immediately
preceded or followed yours.
- Nassau - Georgetown - Nassau requires 16
days or more, but would have no delivery fees.
Arrive in Nassau. Meet Cliff and Liza and get settled in your
cabin. You can dine on board or ashore, head out to Nassau's shopping, nightlife,
and local seafood stands, or lounge on Paradise Island 's sugar-sand beach. These
are all within walking distance of Solstice. Set
sail on your adventure to the Exumas! An early morning departure will give us
a great day sail across the Yellow Banks to our first anchorage, between Allen's
Cay and Leaf Cay. With the right wind, you'll arrive just in time for a late afternoon
snorkel and dinghy ride to one of many private beaches and coves where wild iguanas
emerge to greet you. Enjoy a sumptuous dinner at this peaceful, protected anchorage,
and enjoy stargazing while lying on Solstice's large trampolines.
Follow your whim and join in morning yoga/fitness with Liza, or
just relax over breakfast on deck. Try a kayak or scuba diving before we sail
midday for our next island destination, Norman 's Cay. Explore this island's ruins
of an infamous drug runner and snorkel on his partially submerged airplane in
the harbor. A wonderful beach on the front side of the island provides a perfect
spot for lounging and an island picnic. Enjoy
another invigorating sail down-island through the crystal clear blue Exuma waters.
We'll stop off at the deserted island Shroud Cay, and explore the mangrove creeks
with our kayaks and dinghy. A tropical picnic at " Camp Driftwood " beach is always
a treat. We'll continue on to Warderick Wells, the headquarters for the Exuma
Land and Sea Park. This picturesque harbor is perfect for cocktails at sunset
and another delicious dinner under the stars aboard Solstice.
Explore the 4 miles of trails on Warderick Wells by foot and get some world-class
photo opportunities of rare flora and fauna as well as discovering wells, caves
and breathtaking views of Exuma Sound. Take time to scuba dive or snorkel in the
Exuma Land and Sea Park to witness healthy, protected coral reefs and big, friendly
animals underwater. We'll sail on to Staniel Cay through the cuts surrounding
Pipe Creek, which provide a haven for anglers. If we're lucky, we'll catch tonight's
dinner on this sail! We'll dock at the Staniel Cay Yacht Club marina and enjoy
this small island's charming nightlife. Stay
and explore Staniel Cay more by daylight. Snorkel the famous Thunderball Grotto,
a giant cave that was used in the famous James Bond film. You'll feel as if you're
in a gigantic aquarium! Hike across the island for a spectacular view of Exuma
Sound along a rugged, rocky coast just begging to be explored, or take the dinghy
out for some of the best fishing in the Exumas. An afternoon sail South in Exuma
Sound brings us to Big Harbour off Little Farmer's Cay. This island, steeped in
history, has a wonderful little settlement and even better beaches, mangrove creeks,
and coral gardens to explore. This is the true "out-island" experience, hardly
touched by tourism. From Little Farmers Cay,
we'll set sail to our final island destination, Georgetown . We'll sail down the
coast of Lee Stocking Island, the well-known marine research headquarters, with
stops to snorkel pristine reefs and blue holes before arriving in Elizabeth Harbor
for one last sunset. Relax aboard Solstice and enjoy dinner alfresco, or venture
into the charming, bustling port of Georgetown for a little more action.
Awake to a final sunrise and breakfast aboard
Solstice in Georgetown Harbour , then sail up to the dock. Reflect on all of your
adventures, realizing that next year, you'll need at least 2 weeks on board!
