Suggested for charters of 4 to 7 days
Great for Scuba Divers and maximum island exploration

Day 1

Fly above spectacular scenery to meet Solstice in the Exumas at Norman’s Cay. There are definitely no crowds at this lone island airstrip! Snorkel the famous sunken drug plane in the center of the anchorage that is teaming with colorful corals and fish. Dinghy or kayak into the flats and lagoons, or try your hand at spearfishing on nearby coral heads to spear lobster (in season). Treasure hunt or picnic on the charming cay we affectionately call “Twinkie Beach”.  With one lone palm tree, it offers a beautiful beach with some of the best shelling around. Mingle with other sailors at Norman’s Cay Beach Club, a lively beach bar and restaurant, or enjoy a delicious dinner aboard SOLSTICE under the stars.

Day 2

Awake to Liza preparing breakfast for you, as you take a morning swim or just relax on deck. Sail South to Hawksbill Cay, inside the Exuma Cays Land and Sea Park. Climb the small cliffs for breathtaking views and add a rock to the Cairn that a few lucky sailors have visited over the years. Explore the ruins of a Loyalist plantation from the 1700’s on an adventurous island trail that crosses the island to a spectacular deserted beach. Snorkel the small but mighty coral heads or scuba dive on the fantastic dive sites further South in the Park. Take a mooring at the Park Headquarters at Warderick Wells, an old pirate hideout, with a large sandbar in the center of the anchorage, or stay and enjoy the peacefulness of Hawksbill.

Day 3

Sail on to nearby Shroud Cay, where you can explore the intricate mangrove rivers that wind through this naturalists’ paradise. Enjoy white tropic birds with long wispy tails soaring above as you dinghy, kayak, or snorkel to the deep Exuma Sound side of the island. Let the currents carry you through a natural water park, and climb to the top of “Camp Driftwood” for a spectacular view of one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Lounge on the beach with a prepared picnic, or return to SOLSTICE for a relaxing lunch aboard. This idyllic anchorage is perfect for stargazing and experiencing the true peace and solitude of The Exumas.

Day 4

Sail North on the Sound, fishing along the way, to reach “Hammerhead Gulch”, another fantastic dive and snorkel spot. After lunch, hopefully caught along the way, a short sail brings us to the Northern end of Norman’s Cay, where we will anchor in one of several secluded bays with perfect crescent shaped beaches. Perhaps our favorite area of the entire Exumas, the coves, lagoons, flats and beaches of this area could entertain you for days. Snorkel, kayak, or practice Scuba skills in these protected waters, where seashell collectors will find incredible treasures.

Day 5

A short sail brings us to Highborne Cay’s beautiful Horseshoe Bay anchorage, with the surrounding “Octopus’ Garden” inviting you to explore with your mask and snorkel.  Just outside the nearby cut to the Exuma Sound lies incredible fishing and diving in settled weather. Dinghy around to the charming marina on the other side of the island, and enjoy the hammock-lined beach. Enjoy this anchorage for the evening, as here you can choose to do everything or nothing at all!

Day 6

Before we depart for our 30 Nautical Mile sail back to Nassau, we will visit nearby Allan’s Cay, famous for its large population of Bahamian Iguanas. A photo opportunity not to be missed, these friendly and curious creatures will scurry down to meet you on the beach! Enjoy an invigorating yet relaxing sail across the Yellow Banks reflecting on the amazing beauty of The Exumas. Anchor out (weather permitting) or dock at Solstice’s private dock in Coral Harbour and experience the local nightlife.

Day 7

Awake to one last Solstice breakfast and start your travel day easily with a 10 minute taxi-ride to the Nassau International Airport.

This itinerary is considered 6 24-hour days and nights.
