1
Fly into the mostly deserted Norman’s Cay on a scenic charter flight from Nassau or Florida. Cliff and Liza, your professional crew, will be waiting to dinghy you out to your private yacht, SOLSTICE, anchored just off the beach. Change into your swimsuits and jump into the beautiful waters. Dry off in time for lunch before you set sail for “Hammerhead Gulch” a fantastic dive and snorkel spot with healthy coral and big fish. Motor to nearby Highborne Cay in time for sunset, and enjoy cocktails and appetizers as Cliff and Liza prepare dinner for you. Sleep peacefully in this calm cove called “Horseshoe Bay” and dream about the adventures that await you the next day.
Day
2
Awake to the gorgeous Exuma waters surrounding you, and take a morning swim or kayak to the beach as Liza prepares breakfast for you. Snorkel the “Octopus’ Garden”, a gorgeous reef located within our anchorage. Sail SOLSTICE on the Exuma Sound and fish for big game fish in the deep blue water or dive fantastic wall and wreck sites in settled weather. Anchor at Allan’s Cay for the rest of the day, and experience the Bahamian Iguanas on the beach who will scurry out to greet you. Snorkel, kayak and relax in this beautiful group of several cays, and enjoy another wonderful dinner at peace under the stars.
Day
3
Enjoy an invigorating sail South to Shroud Cay, just inside the Exuma Cays Land and Sea Park. Anchor in this protected paradise and dinghy, kayak or snorkel through the winding mangrove rivers. Make your way to the other side of the island to enjoy some of the most beautiful scenery on earth- a breathtaking beach and flowing currents that create a natural water park. Hike to the top of “Camp Driftwood” and bring your camera for incredible photo opportunities. Enjoy the solitude of this Shroud Cay anchorage for the night.
Day
4
Sail North to Norman’s Cay and explore the many coves, lagoons, flats and beaches. Swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, and beachcombing are all excellent activities in this deserted paradise where we are surprised to ever see any other boats. We’ll make our way to the Southern end of Norman’s Cay by the afternoon, to snorkel the famous sunken drug plane which creates a beautiful home for many corals and colorful fish. Try your hand at spear fishing on the nearby coral heads, and explore “Twinkie Beach” where you’ll find one lone palm tree, a charming beach, and some of the best shelling around. Sail around the Cay to anchor off Norman’s Beach Club and take a walk ashore, visiting the island-flair bar and restaurant for happy hour, if you like. Enjoy your last night swimming and stargazing off of SOLSTICE.
Day
5
Awake to one last morning swim and Solstice breakfast, as you leisurely get ready to fly home. Dinghy ashore as you see your charter plane land, and enjoy your scenic charter flight. Hopefully, the magic of the Exumas will stay with you for a lifetime!
